Gynecology Treatments & Procedures
Treatment depends on the patient's symptoms and the underlying condition. Some problems can be managed with medicines and lifestyle changes, while others may require further procedures or surgery. Patients with menstrual problems, PCOS, infections, pelvic pain or hormonal concerns are evaluated and treated according to their individual needs. Investigations such as blood tests, ultrasound and other tests may be advised when required. Depending on the condition, procedures such as pelvic examination, Pap testing, hysteroscopy or other gynecological procedures may be advised. Women experiencing menopause-related symptoms are also provided guidance and treatment according to their symptoms and overall health.
Our Approach to Care
Every patient is assessed by taking a proper history and understanding the symptoms in detail. Menstrual history, previous medical problems, medicines, previous surgeries and other relevant information are considered. The required examination and investigations are advised according to the patient's symptoms. Treatment is then planned based on the diagnosis and the patient's needs. Patients are explained about their condition and treatment in simple terms. Privacy and comfort are given importance during consultation and examination. Regular follow-up is advised when required, especially for long-term conditions or problems that need monitoring.
When Should a Patient Consult Us?
Women should consult a gynecologist if they have very heavy or irregular periods, severe period pain, unusual vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, repeated infections, pain during intercourse or other symptoms that are persistent or affecting daily life. Women who have difficulty becoming pregnant, symptoms related to menopause or other reproductive health concerns can also consult a gynecologist. Any unusual bleeding, especially bleeding after menopause, should be evaluated by a doctor.
